Will my troop be together at camp?
It is the philosophy of Camp Loblolly to encourage new friendships throughout the Girl Scout community. Troops should expect to be divided into different units at camp.
Can my scout request to be placed with a friend?
The Camper Registration form has a place to request a "Camp Buddy". We make every effort to place Camp Buddies together provided that
BOTH Camp Buddies request each other on their respective registration forms
Both Camp Buddies are in the same Girl Scout level (Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, etc.)
What is the Cadette "Kittens" Program?
With the changes in the GSUSA's programming this year, the old LiA (Leadership in Action) award will no longer be a part of Girl Scouts. At Camp Loblolly, though, we think that the principles taught for this award very vital for the leadership progression of our campers. We have taken those principles and have created a patch that the older Cadettes will now earn. This will be their first step in advancing towards being a CAT (camp aide in training) next summer.
The program will consist of earning the Public Speaking badge and working in both Daisy and Brownie units during the week leading programs that they have studied and learned themselves.
Does Camp Loblolly provide transportation to and from camp?
Transportation to and from camp is the responsibility of the parents/guardian of the camper. Camp Loblolly does not give out camper information for arranging car pools or ride sharing.
Can I pay for multiple campers at a time?
Unfortunately you can only pay for one camper at a time in our payment platform of Cheddar Up because we are also asking for you to fill out health and behavior forms electronically.
Can I pay with a traditional check, cash or Cookie Dough?
Yes. You will still need to go into our payment platform to complete your registration since this is where we ask for your t-shirt size and you fill out health forms. In cheddar up there is an option to pay with cash or traditional check. You will choose this option if you are paying by either of these methods or Cookie Dough. The address will be in the confirmation email where you will drop off the check.
Can I make a partial payment for a camper registration?
Full payment is due at the time of registration.
If your troop is subsidizing your payment:
If you paying a partial payment, please mark to pay by cash or check during the registration process. Unfortunately, we cannot accept credit card payments when a troop is paying for a portion of the camper's fees.
Drop off your cash or check. The address will be in the confirmation email.
Troop will then drop off the remaining balance in the form of cash or check.
Paying by Cookie Dough
Cookie dough must be from the 2025 season. We cannot wait until cookie dough is distributed for the 2026 Cookie season for payment.
If you are paying your total amount by cookie dough, please mark to pay by cash or check in during the registration process and then fill out your JOT form that was sent from council.
If you are paying for part of camp with cookie dough, please please mark to pay by cash or check in during the registration process and then fill out your JOT form that was sent from council and then drop off the remaining balance in the form of cash or check. The address will be in the confirmation email.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept cookie dough and credit card payment.
What does it mean to be on the wait list?
Unfortunately we are restricted by the amount of space we have at the church and how many volunteers we have each year. Like any Girl Scout event, we must adhere to our Safety Wise Ratio Numbers between campers and volunteers. This is why our camp will fluctuate from year to year of how many scouts are able to attend.
A wait list is used to collect information on prospective campers when a certain program level is at capacity. Spots are filled from the wait list as they become available via cancellations or additional volunteers come forward.
Those on the wait list are notified by email should a spot open up and become available. To accept the spot you must complete registration and payment within 48 hours of receiving the email. If payment is not made within the 48 hour period, you will forfeit the spot and it will be offered to the next person on the wait list.
We will make every effort to accommodate as many campers as possible. However, please understand that we are not able to provide information on where someone is on the wait list or predict whether or not space will become available.
