*Children/grandchildren of volunteers ages one to eight are welcome to join us as part of our "Tag-a-long unit". Tag-a-longs attend Camp Loblolly at no charge and can be either girls or boys.
*Boys who are in elementary school can also attend the Cub Scout Day Camp, which is at the church next door to ours, during the same week. Please reach out to the Boy Scouts Flint River council for additional information and costs.
Requirements to be an Adult Volunteer at Camp Loblolly
Be a register as a Girl Scout Volunteer
Have a completed Council Background Check.
Assign yourself the role of Day Camp Volunteer in MYGS. This must be done each year.
Complete all on-line and in person training.

Training Required to be an Adult Volunteer for Camp Loblolly
Complete the Day Camp Volunteer Learning Path in "MYGS - Learn" prior to the Camp Loblolly April 1st. This Path includes the following courses:
GSUSA New Leader Onboarding: the Girl Scout Leadership Experience
Safety First
Mandated Reporter (needs to be renewed every two years)
GSUSA Girl Scouts Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Course
If this is your first year as an adult volunteer for Camp Loblolly you must attend the in person training on Saturday, May 30th from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
All Adult Volunteers must attend the "CATs Train the Volunteer" session on Saturday, May 30th from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
All Adult Volunteers must attend the session on Saturday, May 30th from 5:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. to review responsibilities
Time Requirements for Camp Loblolly
New Adult Volunteers - Saturday, May 30th - 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. - New Adult Training
All Adult Volunteers - Saturday, May 30th - 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 - CATs Train the Volunteers
All Adult Volunteers - Saturday, May 30th - 5:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. - Updates to your responsibilities
All Adult Volunteers - Sunday, May 31st - 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Setup camp
Monday, June 1st - Wednesday, June 4th - 8:15 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Thursday, June 4th: 8:15 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Friday, June 5th: 8:15 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
One Load Out or Load In time at the Scout Lodge either on Sunday, Thursday or Friday. You will be asked to sign up for a time when you register for camp.
How to register as an Adult Volunteer for Camp Loblolly
Click on the link above to register as an Adult Volunteer for Camp Loblolly.
You will be required to fill out a Greater Atlanta Girl Scout Adult Health Form and sign our Behavior Agreement forms in our payment platform.
Once you have completed your adult registration, you will receive an email to register your campers and tags. You do not have to wait until camp registration opens.
No payment is required, to be a Adult Volunteer unless you would like an additional t-shirt.
