Camp Aide in Training
Camp Loblolly is a volunteer led camp sponsored by Service Unit 617. Quite simply, that means we can't have camp without you. Your time and talents are what makes Camp Loblolly great! You will be a positive role model to as many as 100 girls in our area while helping us give them an amazing week of fun, friendship and experiences beyond the troop.
These young scouts look up to CATs and are inspired to be like them. It is amazing to see scouts who have grown up through Camp Loblolly return as young leaders themselves and share what they learn from camp with the next generation.
What will I be doing as a CAT?
We will work with you to try and find a volunteer role at best suits your talents. We will train you on what you need to know to deliver a quality experience for all campers. We try to place new CATs with more experienced ones so that they can share their knowledge and experience.
There are a variety of volunteer opportunities at Camp Loblolly. We need CATs to help:
lead, along with the help of an adult volunteer, scout level units
with archery
with the indoor or outdoor themed activities of the camp
guide the creative activities in the craft room
inspire the younger scouts
