Will my troop be together at camp?
It is the philosophy of Camp Loblolly to encourage new friendships throughout the Girl Scout community. Troops should expect to be divided into different units at camp.
My daughter has a friend also attending Camp Loblolly. Can they be placed in a unit together at camp?
Campers may request a "Camp Buddy" when registering. We make every effort to place Camp Buddies together provided that
Both Camp Buddies must request each other on their respective registration forms
Both Camp Buddies are in the same Girl Scout level (Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, Cadette LIA)
Both Camp Buddies register before March 29th.
What is the Cadette LIA?
Cadettes will be earning their Leadership in Action (LiA) program at Camp Loblolly. In addition to the regular camp program activities, these campers will participate in a leadership development program and earn the LIA award at the end of camp. LiA candidates will design and write a Brownie program for the younger units at camp and then lead the younger girls thru earning this one-of-a-kind Try-it. The LiA award is the first step to becoming a council Program Aide (PA). Cadettes can earn more than one LiA. So if they have already earned one with their troop or on their own, they are still eligible for this award.
